HOSPITAL FATIMAH SCHOOL OF NURSING
History and Milestone
Hospital Fatimah School of Nursing (HFSON) was the first school
of nursing in Perak, established by the late
Dr. Ng Peng Khim in 1994.
The School began with the training of State Enrolled Nurses in 1998
where the school was then at the basement of
Hospital Fatimah Ipoh,No.1 Leboh Chew Peng Loon,
off Jalan Dato' Lau Pak Khuan,
Ipoh Garden, 31400, Ipoh,
Perak Darul Ridzuan.
Initially, HFSON was under (3) hospitals namely Hospital Fatimah,
Perak Chinese Maternity Hospital, and Kinta Medical Centre.
As of now, the school is solely on its own known as Hospital Fatimah
School of Nursing Sdn.Bhd. situated at No 12, Jalan Sultan Azlan
Shah, 31400 Ipoh.Perak.
The premise belongs to the Congregation of the Brothers of Mercy.
Governance is under the direction of the Board of Directors appointed
in accordance with the legislative requirements of the Malaysian
Department of Higher Education.
The Directors oversee the institution's activities and ensure
accountability of the executive functions. The Chairman of the Board
is Dato' Chan Yew Mun DPMP, PMP. They support the challenges
to move the Institution forward.
